Wedding Stationary Timeline

One question I get asked probably once a week (or, once a day after March) is “When should I send out ____?” Fill in the blank for wedding Save the Dates, Invitations &/or Thank you’s. Below is a quick little timeline of when I suggest sending out your stationary. Of course, these timelines can change based on your own wedding timeline, destination weddings and number of guests you are planning to invite.

One question I know isn’t posted on that little chart is when to reserve your spot or when to start talking to a designer about your invitations. I’ve said it before and I still stand by this; I’ve never been contacted by a bride too soon. Its always nice to have an idea of client projects before the last minute. So even if you know your wedding isn’t for a while, reserve your spot & get the ball rollin’.
