For August weddings!

This wedding season seems to be flying by. It is so different from my wedding season last year where I seemed to be buried by June and September weddings. This year, August and October are my busier months for invitations. Isn’t it funny how things can change for weddings in just a year? Even the styles are so different from last year when things were all about the gold, rustic and shabby chic. I now hear from brides who are going with more neutral styles, copper and rose gold.

I’m so excited to share Chelsey & Kyles wedding suite with you today! I met Chelsey through a college friend who is now co-workers with Chelsey and first got hired by her to do bridal shower invitations over a year ago. When her boyfriend Kyle popped the question I remember thinking “Oh please contact me for invitations!” Because I knew she was so sweet and had such good taste đŸ˜‰

It seems like forever ago that we designed these love birds Save the Dates, but knew the overall theme was going to be clean lines and modern typefaces. Chelsey knew she wanted magnets for her Save the Dates and I think they turned out great!

One reason why I always suggest brides hire a designer for both their Save the Dates and invitations is to keep an overall theme. There are times that I can match similar styles of Save the Dates to custom invitations but when you stick with the same designer for everything, it all comes together beautifully!
Chelsey and Kyle knew their color scheme and of course wanted to stick with the same overall clean simple lines for their invitations, but adding the pop of pattern to the back of the invitation as well as the calligraphy inspired typeface gave the invitations just a little more.. somethin’ somethin’ that they needed. The monogrammed belly band was my personal favorite part of the suite to hold all details and pieces together. I know I say this with each suite, but these are seriously a favorite!
